Eye Muscle Stimulation May Delay the Need For Reading Glasses

New research suggests that eye muscle exercises may help delay presbyopia, the age-related loss of near focusing ability that typically begins in the mid-40s.

Studies have shown that targeted exercises to strengthen the ciliary muscles that control the eye's lens may help maintain near vision flexibility longer. While this doesn't eliminate the eventual need for reading glasses, it may delay their necessity.

Ask Dr. Sunga about eye exercises and other strategies to maintain your near vision during your next comprehensive exam.
